Year 11-13 GCSE and A Level Musicians trip to the LSO

Year 11-13 musicians watch one of the world’s greatest orchestras perform music by Shostakovich, Prokofiev and Beethoven.

 

Tuesday 14th and Thursday 16th October, 6.30pm

Year 11 GCSE Solo Performances

Year 11 QE musicians perform a range of repertoire for their GCSE Music qualification. These performances count for 15% of their overall grade.

Thursday 11th December, 7pm

Winter Concert

Enjoy performances from the Senior Choir, Junior Choir, Orchestra, Senior Winds, Junior Winds, Senior Strings, Junior Strings, Jazz Band, Junior Jazz, Indian Ensemble and Guitar Ensemble.

Rehearsals for this event will take place during the school day on Wednesday 10 December and Thursday 11 December.

RCO Young Performers’ Concert

At the invitation of the Royal College of Organists, our QE organists and prospective Year 13 Choral Scholars perform a wide range of music on, or accompanied by, the organ.

Chamber Choir Evensong

QE’s top vocal ensemble, the Chamber Choir, sing Evensong in the beautiful surroundings of St John the Baptist Church in Barnet.

Carol Service

A festive service of Nine Lessons and Carols to celebrate Christmas and the end of term with singing from the Chamber Choir and readings from members of the school community. Rehearsals for this event will take place during the school day on Monday 15 December and Tuesday 16 December.
